FAQ
  • Do I get vacation/time off?
Nannies who are placed for a year long position get two weeks paid vacation. As for time off, whether you are a summer or year long nanny, you will always have off days/hours a week. Your hours/days off are based on the family’s needs which will be stated in the contract.
  • How will I be paid?
It will be stated in your contract how you will be paid. Most families pay once a week via cash, check, or online transfer.
  • How many hours does a nanny work on average?
Most nannies on average work 30-44 hours a week. Every family has different schedules; therefore, a more routine work schedule will be laid out in the contract.
  • When do I get to see the contract?
Once the family has interviewed and decided on which live-in nanny will be the best fit for their family, they will inform Southern Grace Nannies and we will start forming the contract. When the contract is formed, we will send it to the nanny for review. Once both parties have signed the contract it becomes official.
  • How long do I need to be available as a summer nanny?
Summers in New York are from mid to late June until mid to late August.
