how it works

Interested in being a Southern Grace nanny? Here is how it works!



  • Provide a resume, photo, current transcript, contact information for 3-5 references in whom you have worked with in the last 12 months (church nursery, daycare, babysitting family, etc.) and at least 2 letters of recommendation specific to childcare who are not the same as your 3-5 references. Please also provide the name of the person who referred you to Southern Grace Nannies, LLC.



  • After your application has been reviewed and accepted, you will receive a link to complete a background check. The fee for this background check is $60 and is non-refundable.


  • We contact you for an interview to learn more about your experience and skills. You will be asked a couple of questions which will help us see what family might best match your background. This interview may be via phone, FaceTime or in person.


  • We personally call all of your references and include a detailed call log in your portfolio.


  • You will be notified by email that your application is complete and that you are a candidate for matching! 





  • We personally match you with a family that could be the best fit. This family will contact you for an initial interview which is usually done via FaceTime or phone call. They may ask for more than one of these preliminary interviews.


  • All families have been referred by other SGN clients and have been personally interviewed. 


  • As the process continues, you may be flown up for a trial weekend with the family. 


  • Once a family selects you, we work with both parties to finalize a contract for the year or summer and then it is official!





The family will be in contact with you as they make your travel arrangements. After your first week, I will check in to see how everything is going. I am always available for questions and help throughout your time as a nanny. I will make it my personal goal to always ensure that you are happy, comfortable and enjoying this experience!
